Much of the material in this set are unreleased recordings from radio transcriptions with tracks 2-3 from her first radio broadcast in 1939 from NBC station WLW in Cincinnati with the Barney Rapp orchestra, 4 from the MGM series "The Lion's Roar" in 1943 also on WLW, track 5's 1944 performance is from an unknown radio broadcast, 7-10 from AFRS "One Night Stand" broadcasts from 1943 and tracks 11-22 from NBC's "The Bob Hope Show" broadcasts between 1948-1950. Tracks 1 & 6 are from previously unreleased V-Discs. Track 24 is a fragment from Doris Day's audition for radio station WLW in 1942, according to the notes in the booklet.
