- The Accent - originally from Yorkshire, where they were known as The Blue Blood Group, the Accent moved to London in 1966 and recorded a heavily psychedelic 45 the following year having secured a residency at former champion boxer Billy Walker's Upper Cut Club. Members: John Hebron (guitar, vocals), Rick Birkett (guitar), Alan Davies (bass), Pete Beetham (drums)
- The Bambis (Vandyke & The Bambis) - British songwriter, singer and film composer Les Vandyke (born Yani Panakos Paraskeva Skoradalides) also used the names John Skoradalides, Johnny Worth and John Worsley. He wrote many well-known songs of the 60s and 70s including significant hits for Adam Faith (What Do You Want, Poor Me) and Eden Kane (Well I Ask You, Forget Me Not)

- The Measles - group from Manchester. Members: Stan "Red" Hoffman (real name Stan Dulson, lead vocals, harmonica), Dave Earl (Dave Barrow, bass, vocals), Wyn Davis (Graham Hopkins, guitar, vocals), Ray Mondell (Ray Ward, drums), Jomo Smith (Dave Smith, lead guitar, vocals)
- The Barrier - group from Fulham (London). Members: Eric Francis (vocals, organ), Del Dwyer (guitar), Alan Francis (bass), Alan Brooks (drums)
- The Drag Set - The band was formed in the mid 1960s by four musicians from Putney, South London. Initially named The Apaches. In 1965 the band became The Drag Set, who released a little-known single in February 1967, "Day and Night"/"Get Out of My Way". Shortly thereafter, they changed their name to The Open Mind and in July 1969 released a self-titled LP which has since become a highly sought-after collectible. Members: Mike Brancaccio (Mike Bran, guitar, vocals), Timothy du Feu (bass), Phil Fox (drums), Terry Schindler (Terry Martin, guitar, vocals)
- Wayne Gibson & The Dynamic Sounds - were the brain-child of Shel Talmy (producer The Kinks, The Who). The band (from South London) were originally known as The Tornadoes and released at least 6 singles, of which 4 were rumoured to be Talmy productions. Members: Wayne Gibson (real name Edward William "Bill" Allen, vocals), Mick Todman (lead guitar), Ray Rogers (bass), Pete Gillies (rhythm guitar) and Larry Cole (drums)
- Brian Howard & The Silhouettes - band from Mitcham in Surrey (England). Members: Phil Somerville "Brian Howard" (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), was replaced by John Gibbs "Brian Howard" (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), George Colbran (lead guitar), Dave Elridge (real name Dave Robertson-Hollidge) (bass), Ian (?) (drums)
- The Regents (Buddy Britten & The Regents) - group from Southampton (Hampshire) (1960-1965). Members: Buddy Britten (real name Geoffrey Gloverwright) (guitar, vocals), Tony Mist (bass, 1960-63), Barney Peacock (drums, 1960-63), Peter Clarke (bass, 1963-64), Brian Hire (drums, 1963-64), John Lawson (bass, 1964), Carlo Little (drums, 1964), Tony Lost (piano, 1964-65), Roger Pinah (drums, 1964-65), Nick Simper (bass, 1964-65), Ray Soaper (keyboards, 1964-65). By 1965, Buddy Britten & The Regents transformed itself into Simon Raven Cult. Their last line up became the last incarnation of Johnny Kidd & The Pirates
- The Strangers With Mike Shannon (The Strangers, The Diamonds, Mike Shannon & The Diamonds, The Rhodesians) - group from Salisbury (Rhodesia) (now Harare, Zimbabwe) (1961, as The Diamonds). In 1963, having negotiated a deal in the United Kingdom, the band sailed for England where they came under the management of Eve Boswell, a well known South African artist. Personnel: Pete Dene (lead guitar), Tony Hulley (rhythm guitar), Hugh "Sandy" Miller (bass), Maurice Fresco (drums) and Mike Shannon (born Mike Stapleton) (vocals)
- The Athenians - group from Edinburgh (Scotland), the Athenians were probably the first Scottish beat group to release a single, back in early 1964. They recorded 3 singles for local record label Waverley and also appeared on a couple of student charity EPs. Members: Ian Orr (vocals, harmonica), Alistair Black (lead guitar, backing vocals), Keith Henderson (vocals, rhythm guitar), Ricky Alcorn (bass, backing vocals), Arthur MacKay (drums), Stuart Tosh (drums)

- The Pete Best Four (The Pete Best Combo) - After his controversial dismissal from the drummers seat with The Beatles in August 1962, Best joined another Liverpool group, Lee Curtis & The All Stars. This band included both Waddington and Bickerton and after breaking away from Curtis, they added rhythm guitarist McGurk, and re-named themselves after their most famous member in September 1963. Members: Tony Waddington (lead guitar, vocals), Wayne Bickerton (bass, vocals), Tommy McGurk (guitar), Pete Best (drums). By the beginning of '65, McGurk had left the group, his place had been taken by a two-man brass section, Trevor Browne and Bill Burton. They broke up in 1966.
- Jason Eddie & The Centremen - group from Liverpool. Billy Fury's younger brother, Albert Edward Wycherley, who died on 5 September 2011, also had a notable career in the music business. In the mid-60s, Albie adopted the stage name Al Trent and fronted a group called The Centremen, composed of John Kirk (lead guitar), Terry Barrett (rhythm guitar), Charlie Richmond (bass guitar) and Billy Conroy (drums). Producer Joe Meek changed his stage name to Jason (because he thought that Albie looked Greek) Eddie (from Albie's middle name, Edward). During early 1966, they made the follow-up, Singing The Blues, backed by True To You, which was also released on Parlophone and reached the top 30.
- Unit 4+2 - group from Hertfordshire (England). Members: Thomas John George "Tommy" Moeller (vocals, guitar, piano), Peter Charles Moules (lead vocals), Howard "Lem" Lubin (guitar, vocals), Russell Glyn "Russ" Ballard (guitar, vocals), Robert John "Bob" Henrit (drums)
- Hedgehoppers Anonymous - group from Peterborough (England). Members: Mike Tinsley (vocals), John Stewart (lead guitar), Alan Laud (rhythm guitar), Ray Honeybull replaced by Tom Fox and Howard Livett (bass), Leslie Dash replaced by Glenn Martin (drums)
