Compilation by "Zatrute kwiatki" (which means poisoned flowers) was title of the article about polish hippies in regime gazette in late 60s and it was strong inspiration for the author to made such compilation of strictly polish (expect bonus track) hippie vibes/related songs. The polish hippies had harsh times with communist regime in poland from the very first happenings, performances and so called "renegade/western capitalist/reactionist" changes of lifestyle made by young people and teenagers to communes (Ożarów was one of first communes in poland), legendary hippie bands like Zdrój Jana which never recorded any album... Polish hippies made big impact on later punk and metal counterculture and subcultures in poland such as friends behind iron curtain and left heritage in art, music, theatre and literature. In my opinion as a haunted folk hippie we need peace, love and altruism now even more than before cos what can defeat culture of death, globalism and oppression if not love? Im leaving you, the listener with this reflection and miłość zwycięży śmierć! (love will defeat death).
