I bought many of my CDs due to the "Hard'n'Heavy" show on HR3 and its DJ Jörg Eckrich. This man brought me together with songs of NASTY SAVAGE, VOW WOW, 220 VOLT, RIOT, so I tried to get these records in the following years. First, mostly as LPs, later CDs, often at some record markets or in Second Hand-shops, because the record shops didn't have these records and at the beginning of my addiction, I hadn't any conception of mailorder companies.
Alike it was with the release of the Danish MAY LINN's debut in 1988. When I heard the song "Soldier" first, I went mad. I looked for this album for a long time, and finally, I found it and it still fills me with enthusiasm. The band played very simple but great Melodic Metal, not to be compared with current acts like STRATOVARIUS, RHAPSODY and stuff like that, rather more like MAD MAX, TALON, STORMWITCH or, to come to the current time, HAMMERFALL with their debut.

8 great songs, no filler. Sometimes hard rockin' like "Soldier" with its dark keyboards, the slow "In The Shelter Of The Night" or the fast "Dangerous Games", which starts after some wind and raven screamings, with its fantastic guitar solo...Due to the dark keyboards and the unique, slightly melancholic vocals, you can compare it a little bit with the last EVERGREY records. One lack to mention is the anything but strong production, but it has its charm, too.

Like I said, the album is very simple constructed, no too progressive elements and because of this, it's great. Unfortunately, after this album at Shark Records, there never had been any following records. It's a real shame with this band.
