Recorded at Black Lodge - April 2014 - January 2015 

I wanted to write a fun album in reference to my love of old crime movies. The over the top, violent Italian poliziotteschi movies of the 70s and cop shows such as The Sweeney. 

I based a lot of the sound influence on the early 80s John Carpenter music scores and the soundtrack to The Warriors. 

This was always intended to be a fun light hearted project, I enjoyed making it and I hope you enjoy listening to it. 

We are going back to a simpler time, Star Wars is king, ELO are releasing double albums, roller disco is great but still not cool and the eighties are coming.
Astral Stereo Project tries to recall the sci-fi of the late 70s and 80s, the flashing disco lights and the crackling LPs from a modern perspective with tales of technological alienation & melancholy all wrapped up in a retro 80s synth & discoesque sound.
Influenced by ELO, Giorgio Moroder, Vangelis & Rockets..
